About Me.

Hi! I'm Mallory Cheatham, an Illustrator and Graphic Designer living in Austin, TX. For the last several years, I have been working in the hospitality, multi-family housing, non-profit, and small business sectors creating memorable and fun brands. I am a passionate advocate for bringing life to the mission and heart behind brands through vibrant and thoughtful design. When I'm not designing, you can catch me painting, kayaking, experimenting in the kitchen, or hitting the trails in search of new hikes.

In 2019 I graduated from California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. During school, I gave special attention to honing my skills in illustration, branding, and painting.

May 2022 - Present

Senior Designer
Tenderling Design

• Served as lead and project manager for multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to rapid timelines.

• Followed brand guidelines to create collateral and marketing materials for multiple brands.

• Maintained file organizational system and created final assets.

• Built brands and collateral execution both on a team and solo, providing art direction and maintaining process. 

• Checked mechanical files to ensure color, consistency, and proper production procedures were being followed

October 2021- March 2022

Graphic Designer
Seventh Avenue Creative

• Met with clients and created logos and other brand deliverables based on the needs of their companies.

• Created multiple logo concepts that explored various creative directions and presented concepts to clients in a concise and descriptive way.

• Speedily made changes to branding concepts and turned around branding decks to suit client changes. 

• Created brand guidelines and provided clients with collateral based on their brand identity.

• Used digital illustration to enhance the kid’s ministry brand and grow online subscriptions to social media.

• Created daily social media posts based on current trends to grow the church’s online presence.   

• Followed brand guides in an expressive and thoughtful way, so as to maintain continuity of voice without growing stale.

• Produced innovative and eye-catching design campaigns for events over web, social media, and print platforms.

• Created multiple unique logo design drafts, and final products based on drafts.
